Tanzanite twist

This is one of the daintiest engagement rings I’ve done so far. The sides of the band are made from interweaving strands not much more than 1mm across, which cross over under the stone and continue up to form the setting. I hand carved it from wax and any variations in thickness were annoyingly obvious. I quite like making rings where the setting flows naturally from the rest of the ring as opposed to being a distinctly separate thing. This one was a bit of a step forward for me.

This tanzanite engagement ring is one of the daintiest engagement rings I’ve made. The ring features a 5mm AAAA grade Tanzanite and 2 x 3mm Moisannite set in Platinum.
